Unser Drang unsere Freizeit aktiver zu gestalten, führte dazu, dass wir uns entschieden, uns zwei neue Mountainbikes zu kaufen. Gesagt, getan! Leicht überrascht davon, dass die neuen Räder 27 Gänge haben, fuhren wir bei strahlendem Sonnenschein aus dem Fahrradgeschäft. Leider fuhren wir eine Stunde später wie geplant, der Job hatte uns mal wieder im Griff. Diese Stunde bescherte uns später eine feuchte Begegnung. Voller Euphorie steuerten wir unser Ziel in 40 km Entfernung an… unser Zuhause. Nach ca. 15 Kilometer war die Euphorie auf dem Höhepunkt angekommen… das Fahren machte Spaß, kein Muskel tat uns weh und die Kilometer rasten nur so dahin.
Auf ca. halber Strecke nahm das Ganze eine dramatische Wende: eben noch 20 Grad, bewölkte es sich und die ersten Regentropfen kamen vom Himmel. Kein Thema dachten wir und radelten munter weiter immer in Richtung des heller werdenden Horizonts. Als wir gerade schon etwas genervt, unseren ersten wirklichen Berg hoch fuhren, ging’s richtig los… Regen, Sturm und Hagel (kein Witz) trafen uns mit voller Breitseite. In weniger als 15 Sekunden waren wir bis auf die Knochen nass. Kein Spaß bei kurzen Hosen und T-Shirt. Der Wind gab uns den Rest. „Mama… Du musst uns abholen!“ 30 Minuten später saßen wir mit unseren Bikes im Auto Richtung heißer Badewanne und einer dampfenden Tasse Kaffee. Der Weg zum aktiven Leben ist gesäumt von den Freveleien böser Männer…
Nachdem heute Morgen die Sonne vom Himmel lachte, beschlossen wir einen zweiten Versuch zu wagen. Wir fuhren die Strecke in die entgegengesetzte Richtung um unsere Tour doch noch zu beenden. Quer durch die Pampa, vorbei an in der Sonne strahlenden Burgen, fröhlich wiehernden Pferden und zirpenden Grillen erreichten ohne Mühe unser Ziel.
Kreativ von dem schönen Tag stand unsere neuste Herausforderung für diesen Sommer fest: ein Baby-Triathlon. Streitpunkt war noch die Festlegung der Kilometeranzahl der verschiedenen Disziplinen für uns Baby-Triathleten. Aber dazu bald mehr…
