Ja ja, lang ist es her. Ich weiß… Doch es ist einiges passiert und das echte Leben kennt kein offline modus. Geheiratet, ein kleines Haus und vor allem unsere Tochter die heute 6 Monate alt ist. Doch mit umgezogen, original verpackt und unbenutzt ist meine Metall-Kaffeekanne fürs Lagerfeuer.

Ich glaube ich habe schon von ihr geschwärmt, habe oft an sie gedacht und von ihr geträumt… habe sie aber bisher noch nie benutzt.

An meinem ersten Vatertag in diesem Jahr sollte sich das ändern. Wettervorhersage: miserabel, also nichts männliches zum grillen im Haus. Das Wetter war allerdings der Hammer und ich überlegte kurz einfach nur ein Feuer der Männlichkeit wegen anzuzünden als mir prompt meine Kaffeekanne in den Kopf gekommen ist.

Einmal mit heißem Wasser richtig durchkochen lassen und das Abenteuer konnte beginnen.

Gerade ein paar Freunde von der sagenhaften „nespresso“ Kaffeemaschine und seinen Kapseln überzeugt suche ich also heute eine Kaffeemühle um die letzten echten Kaffeebohnen in diesem Haus mahlen zu können. Ansonsten hätte ich wohl 20 nespresso Kapseln aufritzen müssen für eine Tasse voll Kaffeesatz. ?

Zum Glück hat die Schwiegermama noch so ein Teil das sicher 15 Jahre nicht benutzt worden ist aber noch prima funktioniert. Früher hat man wohl immer gerade soviel Bohnen gemahlen wie man zum Kaffeekochen gerade braucht. Keine schlechte Sache wie ich finde. Also mal in Euren Familien nachfragen, evtl. findet sich da auch noch so etwas. Und wenn ihr dann noch so wie ich den Kaffee von der letzten Karibikreise habt wird der Genuss perfekt.

Jetzt fülle ich die 4 Liter Kanne zur Hälfte mit kaltem Wasser, gebe eine halbe Tasse grob gemahlenes Kaffeepulver dazu und stelle das ganze direkt auf den Holzkohlengrill der gerade ordentlich Holz verbrennt. Dauert schon ein wenig bis der braune Brei endlich anfängt zu köcheln aber der Duft der mir entgegen kommt verspricht viel Gutes. Jetzt nehme ich die Kanne, die durch das Feuer endlich etwas schwarz geworden ist und ausschaut wie aus einem Western Film, vom Feuer. Eine Tasse kaltes Wasser eingießen damit sich der Kaffeesatz setzt und der Genuss kann beginnen. All das komplett ohne Filter.

Grill Gefühle und Kaffetrinken in einem und alles wie vor hundert Jahren. Toll!

Nach einigen Tassen kann dann schon mal etwas Satz dazwischen sein, dann einfach nochmal eine Tasse kaltes Wasser eingießen und alles ist wieder prima.
